That is the Zillertal Arena, which extends in the heart of the Tyrolean Zillertal with the towns of Zell im Zillertal and Gerlos, into the neighboring Salzburg Pinzgau with the towns of Wald / Königsleiten and Krimml to the Krimml waterfalls.

With the flexible holiday program “Hiking light”, the wellness professionals of the Zillertal Arena have come up with a particularly attractive, varied and family-friendly concept: “BergAktiv” is the colorful fitness and vitality program for young and old, for beginners and advanced, for those who are enduring “Tight calves” as well as for cozy nature lovers. “GenussAktiv” appeals to all human senses and makes the “mountain experience” perceptible in a light and relaxed way!
The via ferrata over the Gerlossteinwand provides great alpine delights. But there are a few more via ferratas in the Zillertal that want to be conquered: Riederklamm, Zimmereben, Huterlaner, Pfeilspitzwand, Nasenwand, Knorren-Penken, Spannagel.
In the Zillertal Arena, they have particularly adjusted to the wishes of the “smallest guests”. In the towns, Zell and Gerlos, there are exciting and varied children’s programs. The Zell amusement park and the Arena Coaster – the first alpine roller coaster in the Zillertal – add an extra dose of fun.

Single trail Zillertal Zell
For many, the ultimate holiday and leisure experience: conquering mountain heights by bike and experiencing the adventure on routed forest paths and nature trails on 2 wheels.
Enjoy the forest, the mountain, nature in a very individual way – everyone at their own pace, with verve and power uphill and quickly passionate downhill. Whether exciting mountain biking makes your heart beat faster or you prefer leisurely flat valley routes – there are almost no limits to your desire for action, sport and nature. After all, the Zillertal Arena lives up to its nickname as the Bike Arena! Around 232 mountain bike kilometers of all levels of difficulty finally invite you to really let off steam on the popular mountain bikes.
- The “Biketicket Zell-Gerlos” enables the ascent in Zell and the descent in Gerlos or vice versa.
- Free transport of the bikes with the cable car up to 1,800 m above sea level and “cruising” at lofty heights!
- Bike rental directly at the train stations or in the sports shops
Singletrail Zillertal Wiesenalm “RideAble Project”
The new single trail in the Zillertal – 5.2 km pump it down. The Zillertal Arena has another attraction! The new single trail Wiesenalm “RideAble Project” offers all adventurous hobby bikers as well as experienced professionals the very best in bike fun. The 5.2 km long downhill route in the Zillertal is suitable for beginners who are enthusiastic about sports and is an eventful change for the experts of the scene. Numerous switchbacks, Northshore elements and pumps require a lot of skill and stamina.
Another highlight in the Zillertal Arena is the Fichtenschloss.
Let yourself be enchanted – at the Rosenalm near Zell am Ziller
On the Rosenalm high above Zell am Ziller there is a place of fantasy – the spruce castle! (Ascent with the Rosenalm lift)
Every childhood is full of magic and magical moments – in the spruce castle with the spruce elves you and your family can rediscover this joy of life.
Large and small guests of the Zillertal Arena can now let off steam while climbing the climbing tower, sliding in the slide tower or working in the crane tower. The best way to enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains is from the 18m high observation tower. In addition to a spacious water play area and an adventure playground, small builders will find numerous opportunities in the spruce tree construction hut and in the crane tower to continue the work of the spruce tree. Comfortable places to rest and let your mind wander are not missing either – summer holidays in the Zillertal are even more fun!
Golfing in Uderns
In Uderns – around 15 minutes by car out of the valley – you will find the first golf course in the Zillertal on around 65 hectares. The entire golf course has been completed and went into operation on June 29, 2014 with 18 holes. There is a spacious practice area with covered tees and a short game area as well as a PGA golf school.
